I welcome you all to the Indus University of Health Sciences (IUHS) as we embark on a transformative journey dedicated to educating and inspiring the next generation committed to serving the nation and their communities.

In light of the WHO Global Strategy on Human Resources for Health: Workforce 2030, it is anticipated that there will be a significant global deficit of approximately 18 million healthcare workers by the year 2030. To effectively address this shortfall, education assumes a pivotal role in a nation’s overall growth and advancement. Investing in our youth and promoting knowledge and expertise has become imperative for us to establish a knowledge-based economy.

In 2015, the Indus University of Health Sciences (IUHS) received its Charter through the Provincial Assembly of Sindh Act, with the mission to provide evidence-based education to undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate students,

Our unwavering commitment stems from our mission, which centers around the essential pillars of education, research, and service. Our primary objective is to disseminate knowledge and cultivate skills to develop highly competent and compassionate professionals while ensuring the delivery of exceptional services. We hope to provide a socially responsible, evidence-based, and transformative education to healthcare professionals which is contextually relevant and equitable to Pakistan’s health needs.

Within our esteemed institution, we foster an inclusive academic environment that embraces diversity among our students, faculty, staff, and community partners. The realm of healthcare presents limitless opportunities as it continues to expand, offering a wide spectrum of prospects for aspiring practitioners.

Let us collectively seize these opportunities, nurture talent, and make a profound and positive impact on the future of healthcare in Pakistan.
