Lauren Podina, the Director of Physical Therapy at Orthopedic Specialist (Dallas), visited IHHN with the GODA team from Dallas. The team did nearly 100 hip and knee joint replacement surgeries and a few ACL reconstruction surgeries.

Lauren Podina also conducted the discussion-based session. That interactive session enlightened DPT students of IUHS with the latest advancements in physical therapy protocols for sports injuries and post-total hip and knee replacement rehabilitation.

The session was conducted at the seminar hall of the main building in Indus Hospital and Health Network, Korangi campus on 22nd & 23rd February 2024.

The session was attended by Principal, Dr. Farrukh Siddique, students of DPT batch 2022, and faculty of Indus College of Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation.

This discussion-based session with Lauren Podina was followed by bedside rounds of post-operative patients discussing each patient’s individualized post-surgical rehabilitation program. The students observed patient assessment, learned about treatment planning, and participated in patient education.
