Excellence in Nursing

Indus College of Nursing & Midwifery is the first Academic unit of the Indus University of Health Sciences (The Indus Health Network). The college offers various programs in Nursing from diploma to undergraduate level to students coming from different ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds of Pakistan. Admission to the programs is solemnly on merit regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, religion and socio-economic status.

Indus College of Nursing & Midwifery (ICoNM) educates and prepares students using innovative teaching strategies and best clinical exposure to gain theoretical knowledge and practical skills under the supervision of well-qualified experienced faculty. The reputation of the college has grown nationally and internationally owing to the competency, critical thinking and knowledge of the graduates.

Vision, Mission, & Values

Vision

ICoNM aspires to become an institution of distinction in nursing education through contemporary education, applied research, ethical practice and humanistic service. 

Our mission is to prepare competent, skillful and professional nurses through contextually relevant training, professional development and research, and enabling them to promote health and well-being and meet the health needs of the people of Pakistan and beyond.

Our Journey

  1. Started with a group of 35 female students to undergo 3 years' General Nursing Program.
  2. Pakistan Nursing Council granted recognition to the College.
  3. First lamp lighting ceremony held at the College with first cohort of the students.
  4. First cohort of students graduated from the General Nursing program.
  5. Midwifery training initiated for Post RN graduates.
  6. One-year Foundation Course started on self-finance basis. Students qualifying with good grades were inducted in the General Nursing program.
  7. First cohort of 25 male students enrolled in the College on self-finance basis.
  8. One-year Foundation Course started on self-finance basis. Students qualifying with good grades were inducted in the General Nursing program.
  9. One-year Foundation Course started on self-finance basis. Students qualifying with good grades were inducted in the General Nursing program.

  11. Ms. Amtul Anis, Director, College of Nursing was inducted as member in the Sindh Nurses Examination Board.
  12. BScN Generic and Post RN Midwifery programs initiated.
  13. First batch of Post-RN BSN and Peadiatric Oncology introduced
  14. Post RN BScN and Post RN Pediatric Oncology programs initiated
  15. Post-RN BSN, BSN, And Post-RN Midwifery Program Seats Enhancement
  16. PB Cardiac Nursing introduced
  17. Seats enhancement in Post-RN BSN, and BSN programs
  18. Seat Enhancement in PB Cardiac Nursing, and Introduced 02 years Community Midwifery Program
