CHPE Module 3 Contact Session III
The Module 3 Contact Sessions of the Certificate of Health Professions Education course at Indus University of Health Sciences – Indus Hospital & Health Network (IUHS-IHHN) were conducted in October and November 2024, focusing on “The Role of Valid Assessment & Reflection in Health Professions Education.” Participants explored key topics, including assessment principles, formative versus summative assessments, aligning tools with Miller’s Pyramid, and developing a Table of Specifications (TOS). The participants were engaged in constructing high-quality One-Best MCQs, creating clinical skills checklists. The participants also gained first-hand experience of planning and conducting an OSCE circuit under the expert guidance of clinical faculty and health professions educationists. Facilitators, including Dr. Hiba Ashraf, Dr. Nida Shamsi, Dr. Saba Shahid, Dr. Saima Ali, and Dr. Shafaq Sultana, employed large group sessions and small group discussions to ensure an interactive and applied learning experience, ultimately enhancing participants’ assessment competencies in health professions education.
