
Karachi, Pakistan – The Allied Health Professional Council (AHPC) of Pakistan conducted its “Zero” visit under the leadership of Mr. Muhammad Ismail Jiskani, AHP Member for Sindh Province and former Vice President of the AHPC council. The scheduled AHPC visit was held on 30th April 2025 at IUHS, covering two of its constituent colleges: Indus College of Medical Technology & Allied Health and Indus College of Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation.
The zero visit meeting was chaired by the Associate Dean of IUHS Dr. Ghina Shamsi, who welcomed the Council and delivered a comprehensive presentation on the vision, mission, and academic structure of IUHS. Following this, Dr. Atiya Rahman Rohilla (Principal, ICMAH) and Dr. Farrukh Siddiqui PT (Principal, ICPR) shared detailed overviews of their respective colleges, highlighting academic programs, student enrollment, and faculty strength.
A dedicated briefing on the functions and objectives of the Allied Health Professional Council was presented to the IUHS faculty by Dr. Muhammad Imran (Director, Institute of Medical Technology). This was followed by an interactive session where Mr. Muhammad Ismail Jiskani addressed queries from the academic staff, explained the registration process to faculty members and elaborated on the council’s ongoing initiatives to regulate and promote Allied Health Professionals Conci across the country.
The visit concluded with a comprehensive tour of IUHS facilities by the council members, during which they expressed appreciation for the infrastructure, resources, and commitment to academic excellence demonstrated by the university.
These zero visit marks a significant step and it will be good step enhance the standards of Allied Health education and professional practice in Pakistan.
