Social Accountability Fellowship-TUFH
Faculty members of IUHS; Dr. Shafaq Sultana, Dr. Madiha Ata, Dr. Ghina Shamsi and Dr. Faridah Amir successfully completed ‘The Social Accountability Fellowship’. This fellowship was a collaboration to advance impact, accreditation, and leadership by the Network: TUFH, NOSM University and the University of Limerick.
The goal of this fellowship was to design and implement social accountability principles and standards in individual institutions to better respond to the priority health needs of societies, communities, and contexts.
Upon the completion of the deliverables, which included the submission of a policy paper, its publication and presentation, at UBUNTU 2024; the fellows were awarded $1000.
This fellowship was synched with the vision of the leadership at IUHS, aiming for the betterment of society in a manner that holds individuals accountable for their contributions. The journey of social accountability may be a long one but IUHS is embracing it with dedication.
