Simulation Instructors’ Workshop
Introduction
This 3-day workshop is designed for health professionals and educators with the aim of incorporating simulation as a mode of instruction and quality improvement in healthcare. It serves as an introduction to the world of healthcare simulation and provides means of implementing sim in their own settings and with the resources that are available. We plan to expand this program into a Certification Program in Simulations.

Teaching Methodologies
For Online
Zoom sessions, and Google Docs for live collaborative work. Virtual Resuscitation Room (VRR)
For In-person
- Zoom for taking international faculty on board,
- Hands-on Simulation: Simple App/Resus Monitor, Moulage materials, mannequins and task trainers (rented/DIY)
- VRR and Full code for introduction to online/distant simulation.
Program Objectives
- To introduce simulation and its role in healthcare.
- To develop a pool of leaders and health profession educators with interest and knowledge to start implementing simulation as a method of quality improvement and education.
- To develop champions of simulation who can then play their role in spreading this even further.
Scope of Practice
This workshop is an introduction to the world of healthcare simulation and is targeted at an audience that is interested in implementing simulation as a mode of education and quality improvement.

Who Can Apply
Health professionals interested in understanding simulations. Doctors, nurses, pharmacists, physiotherapists, clinical service managers, and hospital employees in managerial/leadership positions.
Qualification
At least a Bachelor’s degree and working in a healthcare setting.
