Post-RN Bachelor of Science in Nursing (2-year program)

Introduction

This program is designed to provide the Registered Nurse at the diploma level with the opportunity to acquire a broad liberal degree level education with particular emphasis on theoretical and clinical knowledge related to nursing practice, nursing research, and population health at primary, secondary, and tertiary levels. All nursing courses are aimed to prepare nurses to practice competencies, as determined by the Pakistan Nursing Council.

Scope of Work

Our Post-RN BSN graduate will be able to work in the hospital as well as in community services within and outside the country.

Program Objective  

The goal of the program is to prepare competent, educated nurses with appropriate knowledge, skills and attitudes that would enable nurses to provide quality safe care and meet the future challenges confronting health care in the 21st century within the professional, religious, cultural, legal and ethical boundaries.

Degree Awarding authority 

Students who complete their course work will be awarded a Post-RN BS degree by Dow University of Health Sciences, Karachi.

Who can apply 

Candidates in Pakistan of both genders, who have successfully completed their General Nursing and one-year specialization and meet the eligibility criteria. Nurses may enroll as full-time in the evening program.

Qualification

  • Diploma in General Nursing
  • Diploma in Midwifery or one-year specialty in lieu of midwifery
  • PNC registration: valid registration with all entries of professional qualifications
