Technician Certification (1-year program)

Introduction

The certificate program provides essential foundation knowledge as preparation for further applied learning and the acquisition of basic skills essential for entry-level practice. 

The intention of these programs/courses is to prepare students to be part of the healthcare team, thus training students and developing their skills to support the medical team with closely related functions for complete healthcare treatment.  

Further, TIH strives to meet the challenges of the present and the future by being adaptive and innovative in reviewing the ever-growing demands of the medical community for the associated support of Allied Health Services.

Program objectives

At the end of the certificate program, the learner will be able to:

  • Demonstrate skills necessary for in-patient care, handling, processing, and sterilization of surgical instruments, equipment and supplies
  • Communicate effectively to serve the needs of patients with relevant stakeholders
  • Demonstrate professional behavior with patients and healthcare team members

Scope of Practice

Allied Health workers can provide services in specific fields:

  • Tertiary care hospitals
  • Community centers
  • Ambulatory services
  • Rehabilitation centers
  • Home health services
  • Nursing and elderly care facilities

Qualification

  • Matric Science (Biology science), minimum 50% passing marks
  • Matric and Domicile from Sindh Province only.
  • Age limit – 17 yrs. – 29 yrs.

  • Matriculation marks sheet
  • Matriculation certificate
  • Photocopy of CNIC/Form B
  • Photocopy of parent/guardian CNIC
  • Recent passport photograph
  • Any other document/information can be asked to submit in addition to the above.
