Introduction

Operation Theater Technologist, also known as a Surgical Technologist, possesses the knowledge and procedural skills for work with sterile and aseptic techniques. Surgical technologists can assist the surgeon in making the procedure as smooth and efficient as possible while working as part of the surgical team. They are also responsible for managing operation theatre that includes looking after all surgical instruments, sterilization, and arrangement of the operation theatre table and dressing table.

Scope of Practice

Operation theatre technologists have vast scope in healthcare organizations, including; operating rooms, emergency rooms, emergency ambulatory vehicles, and hospital delivery rooms.
