Admission Policy

  1. All information submitted through online application should be supported by the provision of copies of relevant documents, transcripts, and certificates. Any information will not be considered valid if an official proof/document is missing.
  2. The College reserves the right to select the best suitable candidates for its undergraduate programs. Decisions related to admission taken by the college are final.
  3. The application fee is not refundable in any case. It is the sole responsibility of the applicant to provide complete and correct information as per eligibility criteria to the College. Applications without complete and correct information or documents and not fulfilling the eligibility criteria will not be considered for processing.
  4. The College reserves the right to change dates and deadlines for admissions. Please keep informed of any changes by visiting org.pk/iconm/.
  5. All applicants to Indus College of Nursing and Midwifery (ICoNM) are held to the same admissions standards and evaluated on the same criteria.

As per current Notification from Sindh government and DUHS Indus College of Nursing & Midwifery only consider Sindh domicile for BS-Nursing 4-year degree program.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (4-Year degree program)

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing is a 4-year program with a mandatory one-year internship. Upon completion of the program and internship, students are required to appear for Pakistan Nursing Council licensure examination. Successful completion of the exam will make the students eligible to practice nursing as a Registered Nurse at any hospital or healthcare service organization. The program has been designed to prepare students to master their knowledge in theory and hands-on clinical skills to become a professional nurse.

Post-RN Bachelor of Science in Nursing (2-year degree program)

The Post-RN Bachelor of Science in Nursing is a 2-year program for Registered Nurses to enhance their skills to practice clinical nursing care; develop analytical research skills and techniques; and learn management and leadership in providing nursing care. In the first year, students explore the biomedical sciences before moving onto advanced concepts in medical/surgical nursing. Students have opportunities to engage in critical analysis, improve academic writing and investigate the connection between information technology and healthcare. In the second year of studies, the modules have been designed to give students an exposure to develop research and teaching skills in view of the social determinants of health, reproductive health, child health, community health, mental health and psychiatry. In this year student’s focus on leadership, planning, decision making and management skills that are needed to deliver care effectively. During the course students can also take an elective course that can help them improve practice through an evidence-based project.

WHO CAN APPLY

Candidates in Pakistan of both genders, who have successfully completed their General Nursing and one-year specialization and meet the eligibility criteria. Nurses may enroll as full-time in the evening program.

Who can Apply Candidates in Pakistan who have successfully completed their three Years General Nursing program (RN Program) and hold valid PNC license. Both male and female can apply for Post-RN Diploma in Cardiology. Only female candidates can apply for Post-RN Midwifery.
